The bells of the Cathedral are rung by members of the St Albans Cathedral Society of Change Ringers. At present there are 17 members of the Society with ringing experience ranging from over 60 years, down to recent recruits who have only been ringing for a few months. New members are always welcome.

The bells are rung on Sundays for services from 10.30am to 11.15am for Matins and from 5.45pm to 6.30pm for Evensong.
Practices are held on Tuesdays from 8.00pm to 9.30pm.
Visiting ringers are welcome to join the band at the above times, but as the belfry door is kept locked it is advisable to make contact with the Ringing Master beforehand.
Visiting bands may arrange for visits or to join the Cathedral ringers at practice by contacting the Society Secretary.
Those interested in learning to ring and in joining the band of ringers at the Cathedral would be very welcome. Generally new learners are taken on in the Autumn. Contact should be made with the Ringing Master in the first instance.
