Children and grown-ups get drawing at the AbbeyThe Abbey played host to a family drawing day on 26th October, organised as part of the Big Draw. 250 people joined in all around the building and three generations from several families working beside each other.

Based on a theme of Great and Small visitors of all ages explored ways of depicting the building around them in a variety of media: pencil drawings, collage, paper culpture, 'stained glass', pictures or rubbings.

Sue Keeling, Cathedral Warden said 'it was an amazing success, with many visitors coming who had not previously been to the Abbey'.

Art work from the day will be on display in the North Transept of the Abbey from 2nd November to 12th November.
